The Spurs were outrebounded 60-33 and it did them in last night. Daniel Green led the way for the Spurs last night with 22 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. Tim Duncan had a so-so game with 14 points, 2 rebounds and 3 blocked shots last night. Manu Ginobili and Matt Bonner pitched in with 9 points apiece last night. The Spurs are now 40-16 on the year.

The new guys are playing decent basketball for the San Antonio Spurs

23-year old point guard Patrick Mills and 29-year old F/C Boris Diaw are both off to decent starts for the Spurs. Mills has played in 6 games (1 start) for the Spurs so far this year and he is averaging 14.8 minutes, 9.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He has shot 54.8% from the floor and 42.9% from the three point line so far for the Spurs, as he has been very impressive so far. Boris Diaw has played in 9 games (2 starts) for the Spurs so far this year and he is averaging 20.1 minutes, 4.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game as he is shooting a red hot 56.7% from the floor. If Mills and Diaw keep playing like they are right now, they might just stay in the playing rotation in the playoffs for the Spurs.

The Spurs gave Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan the night off last night. They were in the game the whole way but they got outscored 27-16 in the 4th quarter and it did them in. Gary Neal (14 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals) and Tiago Splitter (14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) led the way for the Spurs in this game. DeJuan Blair (13 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist) and Matt Bonner (10 points, 3 rebounds and 1 blocked shot) also pitched in for the Spurs last night. The Spurs are now 40-15 on the year.

Tony Parker (28 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals) and Manu Ginobili (23 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Spurs in this game. Daniel Green (14 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots) and Tim Duncan (13 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocked shots) also had solid games for the Spurs last night. The Spurs are now 40-14 on the year.

San Antonio Spurs 128, New Orleans Hornets 103

The Spurs shot 60.7% from the floor and they outrebounded the Hornets 40-29 last Friday Night in a very easy home win. They Spurs had 13 players that played at least 10 minutes in this game. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs in this game with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. Manu Ginobili (14 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot) and Patrick Mills (14 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals) also had solid games for the Spurs. Stephen Jackson (13 points), Gary Neal (13 points) and Tiago Splitter (10 points) also pitched in for the Spurs in this game. The Spurs are now 39-14 on the year.
