The Spurs have signed 25-year old shooting guard Salim Stoudamire to a 1-year contract. He played in 35 games (0 starts) for the Hawks last season and he averaged 11.5 minutes, 5.7 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. It will be interesting to see how well Stoudamire fits in with the Spurs as he only shot 36.1% from the floor last season and he has the reputation as a somewhat selfish player with the ball in his hands. He has now played in 157 games (1 start) in his NBA career and he has averaged 17.0 minutes, 8.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.

The Spurs have signed shooting guard Roger Mason to a 2-year, $7.5 million dollar contract. The 27-year old Mason is a player on the rise as he had the best year of his career last season. Mason played in 80 games (9 starts) for the Wizards last season and he averaged 21.4 minutes, 9.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Mason has now played in 185 games (12 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 14.3 minutes, 5.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Mason should do a good job off the bench for the Spurs next season.
