With 34-year old PF/C Tim Duncan getting older the Spurs have wanted to watch his minutes this year so that he can stay healthy and fresh. So far, so good. Duncan has played in 47 games (all starts) for the Spurs so far this year and he is averaging 29.3 minutes, 13.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game. The Spurs know what side of the bread is buttered on, as Duncan is still the best player on the team and he’s the one guy that can’t replace.

The Spurs shot 51.4% from the floor last night and it was a big reason for the win. Manu Ginobili led the way for the Spurs last night with 22 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists and 2 steals. Richard Jefferson (18 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist) and Tony Parker (17 points and 5 assists) also had solid games for the Spurs last night. George Hill (14 points), DeJuan Blair (14 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots) and Tim Duncan also pitched in. The Spurs are now 40-7 on the year.

The Spurs shot 51.3% from the floor last night and it helped them prevail over the Jazz in Utah. Manu Ginobili (26 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals) and Tony Parker (23 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists) led the way for the Spurs last night. Richard Jefferson pitched in with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist in this game. Tim Duncan (13 points), Gary Neal (13 points) and George Hill (10 points) also had decent games for the Spurs last night. The Spurs are now 39-7 on the year.

The Spurs shot 50% from the floor and they outrebounded the Warriors 46-36 last night in Oakland which were the two biggest reasons for the win. Manu Ginobili led the way for the Spurs last night with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal. Tony Parker (18 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists and 3 steals) and Tim Duncan (16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot in 27 minutes) also had solid games for the Spurs last night. Antonio McDyess (14 points), George Hill (14 points) and Gary Neal (11 points) also had solid games for the Spurs last night. The Spurs are now 38-7 on the year.

New Orleans Hornets 96, San Antonio Spurs 72

The Spurs got whacked 31-10 in the 3rd quarter but the Hornets last night in New Orleans and that ended the competitive part of this game. The Spurs only shot 36.2% from the floor and they were outrebounded 57-32 which helps explain the beating they took last night. Tiago Splitter led the way for the Spurs last night with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assists and 1 steal in 25 minutes on the floor. Tony Parker (10 points and 2 rebounds) and Richard Jefferson (9 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist) also pitched in for the Spurs last night. The Spurs are now 37-7 on the year.
