35-year old Antonio McDyess will be the starting power forward for the Spurs and he will bring even more defense and rebounding to the court. He played in 62 games for the Spurs last season and he averaged 30.1 minutes, 9.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. The Spurs will likely cut his minutes down a bit in an attempt to keep him healthy and fresh. 29-year old Matt Bonner will back up McDyess at power forward this season. He played in 81 games for the Spurs last season and he averaged 23.8 minutes, 8.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and a 1.0 assist per game. Bonner was lethal from long range hitting 44% of his shots from three point range. 20-year old DeJuan Blair was the 7th pick of the 2nd round for the Spurs out of Pitt. The 6′7″, 265 pound Blair was an absolute steal in the 2nd round and he will be pushing someone for minutes as he is a rugged rebounder and scorer. 28-year old Marcus Haislip was the 13th pick of the 1st round for the Bucks in the 2002 NBA Draft. He is now ready to give the NBA a try after playing overseas for a while.
