The Spurs have re-signed F/C Kurt Thomas. Thomas played in 70 games (48 starts) last season for the Spurs & Sonics last season and he averaged 22.6 minutes, 6.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. The Spurs think that Thomas has something left despite being 35 years old and I think they are right. Thomas has now played in 817 games (574 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 27.3 minutes, 9.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

The Spurs have signed shooting guard Roger Mason to a 2-year, $7.5 million dollar contract. The 27-year old Mason is a player on the rise as he had the best year of his career last season. Mason played in 80 games (9 starts) for the Wizards last season and he averaged 21.4 minutes, 9.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Mason has now played in 185 games (12 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 14.3 minutes, 5.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Mason should do a good job off the bench for the Spurs next season.
