1. (26) George Hill, SG
The San Antonio Spurs wanted a polished player in the NBA Draft and they think they got one in George Hill out of IUPUI. While Hill didn’t play against the best competition in the NCAA he was still a very consistent and producitve player. Hill is 6′2″, 180 pounds but he’s tough enough to get the job done despite being skinny. Hill played in 95 games (87 starts) at IUPUI and he averaged 17.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Hill also is a very unselfish player with the basketball which is evidenced by his 52.9% career FG% in college. This was a good move to help inject some youth in the playing rotation for the Spurs.
