The Spurs never had a chance on Friday Night against the Lakers. They only shot 34.5% from the floor and they were outrebounded 44-36 and that is a recipe for disaster. Tony Parker led the way for the Lakers with 13 points and 4 assists. Tim Duncan pitched in with 12 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. No other player on the Spurs had more than 8 points in Game #2. The Spurs better get into the groove soon or his series will be over soon. The Lakers led this series 2-0 as it shifts to San Antonio.

The San Antonio Spurs didn’t have much playing time for Ian Mahinmi

The Spurs only rookie was power forward Ian Mahinmi this year and he didn’t get much of a chance to show what he can do. He played in 8 games (0 starts) for the Spurs this season and he averaged 3.5 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. Mahinmi probably won’t get much playing time in the near future as the Spurs are a very veteran laden team that is built to win right now.
