San Antonio Spurs 116, Indiana Pacers 89

The Spurs outscored the Pacers 57-30 in the 2nd half of the game last night which was the big reason for the blowout. The Spurs shot 53.5% from the floor and they also outrebounded the Pacers 45-27! Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. Jacque Vaughn had a solid game off of the bench with 16 points and 5 assists in only 26 minutes. Manu Ginobili pitched in with 15 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists. The Spurs are now 30-16 on the season.

The San Antonio Spurs sign Damon Stoudamire

The Spurs have signed free agent point guard Damon Stoudamire to a contract for the remainder of the season. Stoudamire played in 29 games (all starts) for the Grizzlies this season and he averaged 21.5 minutes, 7.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He has now played in 847 games (789 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 33.9 minutes, 13.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Stoudamire might step right into the starting lineup until Tony Parker is ready to return from injury.

The Spurs took the Suns out of their game as they held them to 38% shooting from the floor. The Spurs also stepped up in the 4th quarter as they outscored the Suns 29-21 to seal the big road victory last night. Manu Ginobili led the way for the Spurs with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Jacque Vaughn had a decent game off of the bench as he finished with 17 points, 2 assists and 3 steals. Tim Duncan was tough around the basket as he scored 16 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, dished out 7 assists and blocked 2 shots. The Spurs are now 29-16 on the season.
