The Spurs had too much firepower for the Lakers on Wednesday Night. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 28 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocked shots. Ike Udoka was outstanding off of the bench with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Tony Parker did a solid job of directing the Spurs offensive attack with 16 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. The Spurs improved to 27-13 on the season with this win.

San Antonio Spurs 95, Charlotte Bobcats 86

The Spurs weren’t their sharpest yesterday but they were good enough to win in Charlotte. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 blocked shots. Tony Parker had a so-so game with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Manu Ginobili had a solid game off the bench with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The Spurs improved to 26-13 on the season with this win.

Houston Rockets 83, San Antonio Spurs 81

The Spurs played outstanding defense as they held the Rockets to 38.2% shooting from the floor but the Rockets won the game anyways. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 24 points, 17 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Manu Ginobili had a good game off of the bench with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Tony Parker pitched in with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. The Spurs fell to 25-13 on the season with this loss.

Brent Barry is playing at a high level for the San Antonio Spurs

Brent Barry has been shooting outstanding so far this season as he has been a huge asset off the bench for the Spurs.  Barry is shooting 50% from the floor, 45.3% from three point range and 93.8% from the free throw line.  Barry has now played in 24 games this season for the Spurs and he is averaging 19.2 minutes, 7.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.  Look for Barry to continue to play well as Coach Popovich has been using him right.

The San Antonio Spurs release rookie guard Darius Washington

The Spurs have released rookie point guard Darius Washington and they have signed veteran DerMarr Johnson. Washington played in 18 games this season for the Spurs and he averaged 8.1 minutes, 2.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. He has shot 43.8% from the floor, 33.3% from the three point line and 53.8% from the free throw line. Johnson has played in 1 game for the Spurs and he played 4 minutes and scored 2 points.
