The Spurs decided that if it’s not broke….you don’t fix it. Power forward Tim Duncan is ready to dominate like he always does on both ends of the basketball court. Duncan played in 80 games (all starts) last season for the Spurs and he averaged 34.1 minutes, 20.0 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.4 blocks per game. Tony Parker is back to run the show and he seems to improve every year. He played in 77 games (all starts) last season for the Spurs and he averaged 32.5 minutes, 18.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Old timer Michael Finley will be the starting shooting guard but he won’t play big minutes. He played in 82 games (16 starts) last season for the Spurs and he averaged 22.2 minutes, 9.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. Bruce Bowen brings big-time defense to the small forward position for the Spurs and he can hit a three once in a while. Bowen played in 82 games (all starts) last season for the Spurs and he averaged 30.0 minutes, 6.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. Fabricio Oberto will be the starting center but he’ll likely only play half of the game. Oberto played in 79 games (33 starts) last season for the Spurs and he averaged 17.3 minutes, 4.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.
