Tony Parker and Tim Duncan are taking their games up a notch the last couple of weeks as they prepare for the NBA Playoffs.  In his last 7 games, Parker is averaging 21.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game.  He’s also shooting 56.7% from the floor in those games and that’s really amazing for a point guard.  Tim Duncan also has been very productive in his last 7 games as he’s averaged 21.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.9 blocked shots.  He’s also shooting 61.5% from the floor and that is outstanding.  The Spurs are flying under the radar a bit as everyone is still talking about the Mavericks and the Suns.  But, the Spurs are just as good as either of those teams and that will show in the playoffs.

The Spurs have won 8 of their last 10 games and have pulled within 2.5 games of the Suns for the #2 seed in the Western Conference.  They stand at 54-21 on the season and that’s because they are a very deep team that plays fantastic defense as they only allow 89.5 points per game this season.  The Spurs a team that was built with the playoffs in mind as they are a very deep team and that will keep the team super fresh throughout the playoffs.
